Judy Fortin: Founded Freedom Trails in 1995. She is certified through Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) as a Standard Riding Instructor in English and Western, Instructor for riders with a Disability (IRD), and Overnight Guide. Judy is presently working towards certification in Equine Facilitated Wellness.
Sarah Fortin: Started volunteering at Freedom Trails when she was 6 yrs old. She finished 3 years in the 4-H equine program. Sarah has been a Program Assistant for Freedom Trails since 2020. Sarah is majoring in psychology at university, as she works towards her goal in Equine Facilitated Mental Health.
Meriya Gmeiner-McPherson: (she/they) started as a volunteer at Freedom Trails in 2019. They have been an instructor at Freedom Trails since 2022, and is certified through CHA (Certified
Horsemanship Association) as a Standard Instructor in English and Western, and
Jumping. They are continuing to work towards their Instructor Certification with Equestrian Canada.
